There is an essential need for every state, and every country if it's one day possible, to develop a system with more than 1 viable political party. It creates some checks and balances, which help keep govt' honest to it's citizens. Without it, Good Old Boy's in power cave-in to greed and become so loyal to each other that they grow soft on meeting tax payer needs. In every form of govt', in the whole history of man, this remains true.

We need a movement to help our State Democratic Party accommodate Conservative ideals, and also for Conservatives to be a bit more flexible with the Party, in order to develop a 2 party system with meaningful checks and balances. It would bring us higher quality representation in Pierre.

Politics has to change a bit in South Dakota, and District 29 deserves better in our State House. I am running for this office to provide us all a TRUE conservative option. One that understands the fiscal, social and compassionate levels of conservatism; not just the ultra-radical minority like my opponent, incumbent Rep. Tom Brunner.

We don't need District 29 Legislators funded by Wall Street investment banks like Wells Fargo. I will never solicit, or receive, contributions from sources like this. Both of my opponents have stooped this low, and Rep. Tom Brunner has gone even lower. We need to stop and think a little bit more about who we've voted for.
